How The Way You Watch Your Favourite Sports & Teams Has Changed

Updated: Mar 10, 2020

In this day and age in 2020 there are countless amounts of ways to watch your favourite sports and follow your preferred teams or clubs.

These can be by watching live at the stadium, field or arena, online on websites or streaming applications or just following constant live updates or even commentary or companion podcasts on YouTube or other social media platforms which relay what is happening in different periods of play.

A growing trend in watching sports is fans and spectators watching matches live from the comfort of their own home on their comfy couch. This is usually a more cost and time saving method to keep up to date with your favourite sports without too much hassle due to the convenience it provides.

It often isn't as invigorating as watching it live in person at the stadium surrounded by fans and seeing the players up close with the overwhelming atmosphere of the matches or events.

Typically people and sports fans around the world only engage with watching their favourite athletes, teams and sports via two methods.

The first method is through watching on TV whether it be free to air TV or live sporting streams/broadcasts. Streams often come in the form of websites or downloadable mobile applications and stream the matches live straight to a compatible device.

The second method is much more immersive, exciting and has been around forever since the beginning of time across all sports. It is the old and reliable method of watching sports live at a stadium, sporting arena or sports field.

These methods are slowly changing or even fading as they age and become outdated due to the constantly evolving and changing technologies. Fans are also losing interest in the traditional forms of watching their favourite sports and teams. To combat this loss of interest a revolutionary way of watching sports is required to once again increase the popularity and engagement of fans with their chosen array of sports.

In doing so it would also create the opportunity for the public and spectators to experience a different perspective to watch their favourite sports and provide a renewed and uncanny viewing experience that would have never been experienced before. It would be more likely that with this technological experience more people would become interested in watching sports and interacting with sports or teams and become fans of various clubs across many sporting avenues.
